So I still don’t have much interesting going on in my life apart from the cats. Luckily Kaswe (KAZ-way) seems to be doing better after the trip to the vet. She really does not enjoy her medicine though. I don’t blame her, it smells like a multivitamin and looks like it has the consistency of dish detergent. Mike and I are just that hardcore though, going with the liquid instead of the pill.

I’m sort of annoyed that the vet really dumbed it down and called it “diarrhea medicine”. Turns out it’s not medicine like Immodium, it’s actually an antibiotic. I’m not sure if I’d generally classify antibiotics as “diarrhea medicine”, but then, I’m quite sure that the vet isn’t used to talking to people who know the mechanisms of all of these drugs too. $200 later and we came out with information we already knew, and generic medication, three cans of cat food and some “Forti-flora” (basically the same as when a doctor tells you to eat yogurt after taking antibiotics – to replenish the “good” bacteria). Alas, the cat hospital is awesome, and I suppose that’s the premium we pay for the fancy service.
